FIRST Inspires levels we participate in

FTC (FIRST Tech Challenge)
For kids ages 13-18, or grades 7-12.

FLL (FIRST LEGO League)
For kids ages 9-13, or grades 4-7.

FLL Junior (FIRST LEGO League Junior)
For kids ages 6-9, or grades 2-4. This level may be part of FLL in this next season. Changes are coming but we do not know all the details yet.
Each level makes a difference
Every level teaches different skills. Every level gives different opportunities. But a child can start at any time.
Everyone is welcome!

Ages 9-13
FLL Challenge has two components to their year.
They have a robot challenge where they build a robot of their own design, and attempt to complete as many of the challenges on the board as possible to score as high as they can.
They also have a problem they are presented with at the beginning of the year. They must as a group decide how they can present a solution to that problem to the judges. They then prepare their presentation that they will give the judges and can have displays at their tables in the pits.

Ages 13-18+
FTC mainly has the robot focus to their year.
They have a robot challenge where they build a robot of their own design, and will compete in a full field will three other robots, or more, at competitions.
In the beginning of the year we start as one team. Robot designs get talked about, kids start navigating towards one more than another and a teams begin to form. By November the kids decide who will be on which team.
We attend three competitions a year with our FTC teams. December, January and February. In 2025 one team made it to states, and both teams joined again as one being sister teams, went to states for the first time in 10 years!
